Faron W. King, Broker/Owner, 2017-Current

  • Faron completed seven years of service to NEGBOR Board of Directors in November 2014
  • From 2008 to 2014 served as County Director, First Vice President,
  • President Elect, 2011 President, Past President and Treasurer.
  • 2010 and 2012 NEGBOR Realtor of the Year.
  • STATE REALTOR® ASSOCIATION PARTICIPATION HIGHLIGHTS: (Leadership roles, award information, RPAC) Served two year term as Region 2 Director 2012-2013, the first from our local board to serve on the Executive Committee at the state level.
  • Faron was duly elected in September 2014 as Vice President of GAR serving as VP of Member and Public Services November ’14 to November ’15. Serving as VP of Professional Development November ’15 to November ’16, serving as VP of Governmental Affairs November ’16 to November of ’17 , serving as VP of Administration and Finance November ’17 to November ’18, serving as President-Elect November ’19- November ’20. 2020 President and 2021 Immediate Past President.
  • Proudly served as Vice Chair of the 100th Anniversary Task Force.
  • 2010- Graduate GAR Leadership Academy
  • 2013 Georgia Realtor of the Year
  • GARPAC Gold Hall of Fame and currently Golden R, President’s Circle, NAR RPAC Hall of Fame Class of 2020
  • FPC for Georgia 9th District Representative Andrew Clyde.
  • 2017 member of Risk Management Committee.
  • 2018 member of Broker Involvement Council as state representative and a NAR Director for Georgia. Recruiting goals were announced in Boston for BIC and Georgia was one of only 14 states to reach their goal and was second overall to Texas.
  • Chosen to be 2019 Vice Chair of the Large State Forum and member of the State Leadership Idea Exchange Council by 2019 President- Elect Vince Malta.
  • 2020 RPAC Trustees Fundraising Committee- Large Firm Representative

  • 1995- Elected to GAAO (Georgia Association of Assessing Officials) State Executive Board for the Northern District which included 51 counties
  • 1995- 2001- Served on GAAO Executive Board progressing to President in 1999 at 32, the youngest in their 54 year history
  • 1999- Graduate Leadership Georgia- The first attendee from Towns County
  • 1997- 2003- Member of Board of Directors for Towns County Chamber of Commerce, serving as Chairman in 2001
  • 2000- Graduate Georgia Academy of Economic Development
  • 2004- Member of Georgia Trend’s Class of 40 under 40, the first from Towns County to be chosen
  • 2003-2005- Member of Board of Directors for Licklog Players Theater Group, serving as President in 2005
  • 2008- Commissioned Kentucky Colonel by Steven Beshear, Governor of Kentucky.
  • 2010- Industry specialist for Towns County Comprehensive Plan
  • 7 Time Marathoner with a Personal Best of 3:27.
  • His prize accomplishment was marrying his lovely wife Rebecca in October of 1999!!!

In January 2016: Faron was honored to be one of 42 graduates in Realogy’s Ascend Executive Leadership Experience Program. Participants of the first cohort were selected from around the world representing all five Realogy Brands for the Inaugural Class. Faron has since appeared on multiple panels and webinars for Realogy and the new cohorts of Ascend.
